整张专辑除作曲家约翰德伯尼(John Debney)亲自跨刀的两首乐曲之外，其余皆为现今或70年代的流行作品。或许是为了贴近本片作为一部体育纪录片的特质，大部分歌曲在曲风上力求动感跳跃，无论是The Bigwigs演绎的主题曲“就像迈克”(be Like Mike)还是著名的灵魂乐组合Earth,Wind & Fire献唱的“闪亮的星”(Shining Star)一种难能可贵的奋进与勃发迎面袭来，令人顿有闻乐起舞之感；当然作为一部再现黑人球星风采的篮球巨片，适当的时尚音乐元素也必不可少，听着Fatboy Slim带来的“此时此地”(Right Here Right Now)以及Nicole Renee的那首“欢迎来到我的世界”(Welcome To My World)，乔丹那精湛叫绝的灌篮姿态似乎又历历在目。另外约翰德伯尼酷似汉斯季默(Hans Zimmer)的电子摇滚写曲模式让人时刻沉醉在公牛赛场上那一幕幕场面惊心动魄。
