Настоящий состав сформировался в 2007 году. Быстрыми темпами они заняли свое место на итальянской альтернативной сцене. В сентябре 2007 года заняли первое место в конкурсе Suonica Live. Выступали на одной сцене с такими группами как Neurosis, Dillinger Escape Plan, Misery Signals, Underoath, August Burns Red, Russian Circles, Knut, Agnostic Front, Emmure, Exilia, These Arms Are Snakes, The Secret. В 2008 году выпустили дебютный EP состоящий из трёх песен, после чего отправились в тур по Италии. В этом же году вышел их первый клип на песню «Glances». В скором времени последовал следующий клип на песню «Nicholas», режиссером которого стал Salvatore Perrone. В декабре 2010 года AVL выпустили свой первый полноформатный альбом «The Long Procession», получивший высокие оценки музыкальных критиков и положительные отзывы слушателей.
