Representing Queens, NY the hip-hop/soul artist Dynasty has loads of big names to be measured with but it seems like just that heritage makes the difference.
Collaborations with Talib Kweli, with whom she recorded the Track "Stay Shinin" including a Video for her current Album "A Star In Life's Clothing", and legendary DJ Premier from Gang Starr who gave her the ultimate cosign by producing "Epic" including a 500.000 click Youtube Video & also the track "Street Music" fpr her album, confirm her strive of becoming a big Hip-Hop artist like her fellow Queens Representers. Numerous cyphers and battles formed her unique style and especially in competition with other rappers, predominantly male, Dynasty learned to be on point with her rhyming. This natural way of rapping is clearly Dynasty's advantage. She has lit up stages opening for Erykah Badu, The Wu-Tang Clan, Mos Def, Talib Kweli and more, nevertheless, her slick and honest lyrics speak for themselves: Authentic and real hip-hop mixed with beast-mode microphone skills!
One can certainly see that in 2013, the DREAMPUSHER that we know as Ya Girl D.Y. is reaching the heights that she envisioned as a kid. With a seven-city Dreampusher Tour in Germany, an East Coast tour (US) and another European tour at the end of the year...there is absolutely no denying this star.
Dynasty's highly anticipated debut album "A Star In Life's Clothing" will be released in collaboration with the German based Jakarta Records. The Deluxe Edition LP contains a Remix 7inch by Figub Brazlevic, who also mixed & mastered for the album.
