According to Songfacts, alternative metal band Egypt Central formed on October 2, 2002 in their hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, borrowing their name from one of the toughest roads running through the city. After eight shows they caught the attention of former Lava Records CEO Jason Flom, who offered the band a record deal. Their self-titled debut album was recorded with producer Josh Abraham in Los Angeles.

White Rabbit is the second studio album by the rock music group Egypt Central, to be released on May 31, 2011. The first single is "White Rabbit", and was released to radio stations on February 15, 2011 and made available on iTunes on March 1, 2011.
