Legendary composer Vangelis (Vangelis)-composer, best known for his pioneering work on soundtracks for films such as "Chariots of fire" and "Blade Runner", devotes its new music a real space mission.His latest work is an album called "Rosetta", inspired by the Mission of the European Space Agency (ESA) to study comets for 67 p/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.
The project is the result of talking between the ESA astronaut André Kejpersom and Vangelis in-flight comforts guests expect on board the international space station.After their conversation, Vangelis was inspired and decided to write an album dedicated to the first-ever mission to probe landing Comet.
Charles Walker (ESA): "I believe that Vangelis wanted to memorialize our Rosetta mission through his music.Vangelis adds: "Mythology, science and space research are subjects which fascinated me since early childhood.And they were always somehow relate to the music that I write. "
