    一般人都认为铜管是十分厚重的乐器，而且只用於庆典音乐及进行曲，如果是五支铜管的合奏，该会有多慑人的音量！但是，如果你听过本世纪最活跃的铜管合奏团体，来自北美「帝国铜管五重奏」的音乐之后，你会忽然发现，原来一向给人厚重印象的铜管音乐，也能温柔的浅唱低吟，其合奏竟能如此协调且融洽，完全没有意料中的「吵嘈」感！
    这张唱片所收录的，都是音乐史上深被大众所熟悉及喜爱的音乐，如葛利格的《皮尔金》选曲，柴可夫斯《胡桃钳》及《天鹅湖》的舞曲，还有来自比才的《卡门》选曲及布拉姆斯的《匈牙利舞曲》等共18首曲子，经改编为铜管合奏，更有一番不同的音乐感受！
