简介：
Mendelssohn wrote his second String Quartet a few months after Beethoven's death. Clearly inspired by the masters' late String Quartet Op.132, it shares not just the key but resembles the work in both form and theme. On this release, the Ragazze Quartet presents these two works as mirror images of a diptych, reflecting the two works' many connections. It is the greatness and depth of this music that originally inspired the group's members to play, and it still drives them today.
