虽然在纽约城郊长大，但Outasight的父母却从小就鼓励他热爱音乐，8岁时Outasight接过了父亲手中的吉他并开始进行音乐创作。从小就被许多音乐专辑所包围的Outasight，听过不少摇滚及流行音乐，受过不少大师的音乐影响，如Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Stevie Wonder，Marvin Gaye。中学时期，Outasight在Brooklyn的许多演出为自己积累了不少经验，也为自己的音乐风格奠定了基础。Outasight通过自身的努力和毅力成功地开辟出了自己的音乐道路，音乐风格兼具popular hip-hop，indie rock，classic pop及soul music，音乐中也总是传递着积极地讯息。此外Outasight还赢得过MTVU 的最佳新人大奖。
