出身自音乐世家，父母均是古典音乐演奏家，哥哥是爵士乐好手，专注于Post - War Jazz。荷莉寇儿在Sarah Vaughan、Billie Holiday 等的影响下，从最初的Pop Music、Pop Rock直入Smooth Jazz 界。
