简介：
Those who have followed John Digweed's trajectory from Renaissance through his Global Underground sets, onto his Transition series and the magnificently curated Bedrock mixes, will need no convincing from me that here, on his live set at Cordoba, we find John embedding his reputation as a DJ at the forefront of progressive dance. This mix will lift you into the stratosphere, keep you in orbit for two and a half hours and gently place you back on earth in a blissed out and much happier frame of mind.
Here is a return to party central for progressive trance. There are no jerky tempos, no techno histrionics, no crappy pseudo soul vocals, just a wonderful organic electro sound which has more euphoria and trance inducing qualities than anything I've heard for quite a while. There's even a short sample of Billy Holiday in there, which may sound disparate but actually moulds in beautifully. Every once in a while you'll hear inoffensive whistling and muted horns sounding out from the crowd as if this was the prelude to a bullfight, but strangely it all seems to blend well.
This is a lovely (well f'Ing brilliant actually) release which will have all the Sasha and Digweed fans in ecstasy. One of the best this year along with DJ Kicks Photek, Maya Jane Coles DJ KIcks, Burial's EPs, Talabot's 'fin', and anything Agoria.
