Review:
I received the SACD immediatly after release & now, after a couple of weeks, it's 1 of the most played recordings I own. The material has been restored very tasteful although you'll find a lot of quotes by Bach, Vivaldi & Rameau. The sound is perfectly captured in both 2ch & Mch, the harpsichord fits nicely into the rest of the orchestra & is reproduced in its original size & volume.
In my opinion Alessandro Scarlatti is 1 of the greatest baroque composers. His instrumental music is less boring & much more creative than Vivaldi's or Telemann's. I put him at the same level as H鋘del & Buxtehude. The only composer that really surpasses him is, of course, BACH.
These performances are extraordinary in that they show how brilliant he was. Although some of the sources for the music on this album are spurious & incomplete, this music is full of surprises & different emotions. It is sparkingly rendered by the Accademia Bizantina. 曲目列表：
